CRY Cardiac Screening Day 2026
November 7 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
The Heart of Weston has asked Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) to run another heart screening day for 14-35 year olds. This screening will look for undiagnosed heart conditions that lead to 12 young people dying of a cardiac arrest every week in the UK alone.
There is a simple way to diagnose most cardiac abnormalities. This is by having an ECG (electrocardiogram) test. Results will be read by a cardiologist. For extra clarity an Echocardiogram (ultrasound scan – right) can also be done. If there has been a young (under 35) sudden death in the family, the family is entitled to be screened on the NHS.
Appointments will be released at the beginning of September.
